Mushroom Orzo (Take one)

Ingredients

Method

  1. Slice mushrooms, chop onions and garlic.
  2. Sautee all that in a pan with... 20g of butter?
  3. You're aiming for the mushrooms to get slightly brown and start smelling good before moving on:
  4. Add the orzo, bouillon, lemon juice and 600g of water.
  5. Stir and cover. Let it begin to boil then turn the heat down to the lowest temperature that sustains the boil. Since it's covered, it won't take a lot of heat to keep it boiling.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the chopped parsley, stir, and cook for 5 minutes more (still covered)
  7. After those 10 minutes, remove the lid and add the cream and spinach.
  8. Stir until the spinach is cooked (which will take idk 45 seconds, it's really fast)
  9. Turn off the heat, you're done. Sprinkle some parmesan and black pepper on when you serve it.
  10. Notes to self: Might try this with asparagus too, and maybe without the cream?
